Children’s Classes

What are Children’s Classes?

The children’s class program focuses on children aged 5-10. The classes explore various virtues, or qualities, such as love, justice, forgiveness, and generosity. Each lesson consists of prayers, a song, the study of a quotation, listening to a story, playing a game, and colouring. The children’s class program aims to enhance the capacity of the children to serve their communities and build on these qualities in their daily lives.

Children’s Class Teachers

All Children’s Class teachers are trained volunteers. They come from many backgrounds, but are inspired by the belief that, “Children are the most precious treasure a community can posses”.

Bahá’í Inspired

While the moral concepts of the children’s class program are inspired by the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, the program is not a form of religious instruction and is open for anyone interested in joining. Prayers, quotes and many stories are taken from the Bahá’í Faith, with universal values such as love for our neighbors, forgiveness and generosity. All are welcome.

“Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.”
